Daily Structure at Vida Libre

Looking for a mental health retreat in Mallorca or considering therapy abroad? Vida Libre offers intensive, personal support for people dealing with burnout, alcohol-related problems and other mental health challenges. Vida Libre was also featured in a report by SRF, part of Switzerland’s independent public service broadcaster SRG SSR. The report provides an independent journalistic insight into our work and is not an advertising production. For anyone looking for a mental health retreat in Spain or Europe, our small private setting in Mallorca combines psychological support, distance from everyday life and a focused environment for recovery.

SRF PULS:
Seeking mental health treatment in Mallorca

As part of its health programme PULS, Swiss television visited Vida Libre in Mallorca. The report follows people seeking intensive psychological support away from home and offers an independent insight into our approach to alcohol-related problems and burnout.

What the Swiss television report shows

Swiss television visited Vida Libre in Mallorca as part of the health programme SRF PULS. The report looks at people who travel to Mallorca for intensive psychological support and shows how Vida Libre works with guests dealing with burnout, alcohol-related problems and other mental health challenges. As SRF is part of Switzerland’s independent public service broadcasting system, the programme offers an external journalistic view of Vida Libre rather than a promotional film produced by the treatment provider itself.

The report gives viewers an impression of everyday life at Vida Libre, the setting on the finca and the personal approach to treatment. It also shows why some people choose therapy abroad: leaving their usual environment can create distance from everyday pressures and allow them to concentrate more fully on recovery. For people considering a mental health retreat in Mallorca, Spain or elsewhere in Europe, the programme provides a rare opportunity to see the atmosphere and therapeutic setting before making contact.

How we experienced the filming

At the end of May 2025, a team from Swiss television visited Vida Libre in Mallorca to film a report for the health programme SRF PULS. The day was intensive, warm and surprisingly relaxed. Interviews were recorded, everyday life at the finca was filmed and the team spent many hours getting to know Vida Libre and the people behind it.

One former Swiss client agreed to take part in an anonymous interview and spoke openly about what had led her to Vida Libre and how she had experienced her stay. Other guests and members of the Vida Libre team also took part, giving the journalists a broader impression of the atmosphere, the therapeutic work and daily life on the finca.

For us, the filming was a special experience because it offered an outside perspective on something that is very familiar to us. The finished report captures only a small part of everything that happened during the day, but it gives viewers an authentic impression of Vida Libre and the personal setting in which our work takes place.

Why people consider therapy abroad

For some people, distance from everyday routines can be an important part of recovery. Choosing therapy abroad can create space to focus fully on personal change, without the usual pressures of work, family or social surroundings. Vida Libre combines this distance with intensive individual support in a small and private setting.

Mental health retreat in Europe – why Mallorca?

Mallorca offers more than sunshine and a Mediterranean environment. For people looking for a mental health retreat in Europe or Spain, the island combines easy accessibility with enough distance from everyday life to make a focused stay possible. Vida Libre uses this setting to create a calm environment centred on psychological support, recovery and personal change.
